The appetizer for our Eager family dinner party. We baked them.
1pkg of wonton wrappers (50)
1 8oz pkg cream cheese/neufchatel, softened
3 green onions/scallions
salt and pepper to taste
oil
plum sauce, for dipping
Finely slice the scallions and add them to the softened cream cheese. Add salt and pepper. Place about 1/2tbs of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet your finger with a little water and run it along the edge of two adjacent sides. Fold wontons diagonally, dry onto wet, to make triangles. Press the edges to seal the wonton.
Deep fry according to package or brush lightly with oil and bake at 375 for 3-5 minutes on each side. They cook quickly so keep an eye on them.
